“ Never been here before!! Just stopped by n on a bike ride!! The place is beautiful inside and out the food is absolutely amazing. The waitress was very friendly and full of smiles!! What a great place!! Definitely will be making more stops there next on up coming road trips ”
“ On Lake Desolation NY very small quiet lake in the southern Adirondacks. Good bar food and drink selections. ”
“ Very nice clean restaurant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was great. We had spicy garlic Parmesan chicken wings and a cheese pizza. We would order it all again. We prefer our wings a little more crispy so next time we will ask. Prices were reasonable. They have a good beer selection and serve it ice cold how we like it. ”
“ Tinney’s Tavern is a gem of a destination for delicious food at affordable prices, in a beautiful lakeside setting away from the madding crowds. It’s rare to get a truly standout quesadilla at an eatery, but Tinney's nailed mine with a tasty bonanza of grilled chicken, peppers and onions, cheese and some subtle spices all on a nicely griddled tortilla. A side salad featuring romaine lettuce, not iceberg, made for a great addition. My buddies were very pleased with their salmon and burger meals... oh, and neighboring tables had some great looking meals on them too. Tinney's has some talent in the kitchen. Our server was most pleasant and efficient. The interior ambiance is excellent, and outdoor seating overlooking Lake Desolation is available. Cap off your visit with a ride northwest on little-traveled Lake Desolation Road, crossing Great Sacandaga Lake into Edinburg. ”
“ Was here for a wedding reception. Loved the beef stakes. Planning to be back when the weather is good for a day out at the lake and good food at the tavern. ”
“ Family-Friendly Gem – Tinney’s Tavern We had a great family dinner at Tinney’s Tavern, and it’s safe to say we’ll be back! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome. The service was quick, friendly, and attentive — perfect when you’ve got hungry kids in tow. The decor is charming and unique, with little touches that make the whole place feel cozy and fun. The kids were especially thrilled to get their root beer served in old-school glass bottles — such a fun detail that made the experience even more memorable for them. The food was absolutely delicious across the board, with generous portions and great flavor. Everything came out fresh and hot, and the menu had something for everyone, kids and adults alike. Also worth mentioning: the bathrooms were spotless, which is always a big plus when dining out with children. Tinney’s strikes the perfect balance between relaxed and special — it’s a place where families can enjoy a great meal in a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend! ”
“ This is a great little bar situated right across from Lake Desolation. Incredible food great staff and ice cold beer. We come here whenever we are in the area camping. Their food is always made fresh and very delicious. They have both inside and outside seating and can handle a large group if needed. A true find. ”
“ What a great place. Stopped here for a beer on the way back from being up north. We got there pretty late so dinner service is winding down and they were out of the fish and chips, but the Fiddlehead beer was delicious and the atmosphere was amazing. Can’t wait to go back for some food. ”
